55 Steps

Based on a true story, 55 Steps follows Colette Hughes, a dedicated lawyer who champions patients’ rights, as she is appointed to represent Eleanor Riese, a psychiatric patient seeking a voice in her own treatment. Eleanor’s class action suit challenges hospital practices around medication decisions for competent mental patients, while her case also begins to affect Colette’s work-driven life.
