A History of Violence

A mild-mannered diner owner lives an ordinary family life until a violent confrontation at his restaurant forces him to kill in what appears to be self-defense. Hailed as a local hero, he and his family are suddenly pushed into the public eye. As attention grows, the consequences of that single act begin to unsettle their home and threaten the stability of everything they thought they knew.
