Alvy Singer, a divorced Jewish comedian in New York, looks back on his relationship with Annie Hall, an aspiring nightclub singer he once fell in love with. As he reflects on their time together, he considers how their romance came to an abrupt end, much like the marriages that came before it, and tries to make sense of the connection that shaped him.
