Bright Road

At an all-black school, a young teacher works to reach a troubled student others see as a problem child. The boy is drawn to a caterpillar’s metamorphosis, even as grief over his sister’s death and struggles in the classroom weigh on him. As his teachers fight to keep from giving up on him, a crisis involving bees at the school gives him a chance to show what he can do.
