At a blue-collar bar in Boston, former sports star Sam Malone runs Cheers, a familiar gathering place for the people who work there and the regulars who settle in for a drink. As they spend their days and nights together, the staff and patrons share pieces of their lives, swap stories, and find companionship in a place where everybody knows your name.
