The Day of the Jackal

After France grants independence to Algeria, a group of resentful military veterans and disgruntled French generals turn to a professional assassin known only as the Jackal. Hired to kill President Charles de Gaulle, the elusive killer sets a deadly plan in motion, while a determined gendarme works to track him down before he can strike.
