After being left crippled and consumed by bitterness, Dr. Stephen Strange travels in search of healing. His quest takes him high into the Tibetan mountains, to a hidden community and the mysterious Ancient One. There, Strange discovers that healing may be only the beginning, as he learns of his true destiny as the Sorcerer Supreme of his world.
