Danielle “Dani” Bolton is an upper-class girl from Brooklyn with her sights set on drumming. Against her parents’ wishes, she leaves New York for a college in Georgia, determined to earn a place in its once-famous marching band. As she pushes to join the drumline, Dani hopes to help bring new energy to a program that was once a standout.
