For Colored Girls

For Colored Girls presents existence through the perspectives of 20 nameless Black women, with each woman portraying a character represented in a collection of twenty poems. Their stories reveal a range of experiences and struggles that affect women broadly, while focusing in particular on the issues faced by women of color.
