In a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by a virus that turns humans into violently deranged cannibals, a bereaved mother retreats to an isolated cabin in the mountains after losing everything. Cut off from what remains of society, she tries to survive in solitude until a wounded stranger appears at her door, desperate for help and carrying a story that suggests hope may still exist.
