Five years after the bloodbath at Camp Crystal Lake, a new summer camp nearby prepares to open its grounds. As the counselors settle in and move through the shadow of the infamous site, the legend of Jason hangs over every plan and routine. Most dismiss the stories as campfire fear, unaware that an ominous presence is lurking in the area and that the grisly legend may be real.
