From the Land of the Moon

In 1950s France, Gabrielle is a passionate, free-spirited woman confined by an arranged marriage without love. When she is sent to the Alps for treatment of kidney stones, she meets Andre, an injured veteran of the Indochinese War. Drawn to him and to the possibility of a different life, Gabrielle begins to long for freedom from her marriage and dreams of running away with him.
