In a near future shaped by environmental damage and growing food shortages, the government relies on sentinel drones to protect an organized crop system and keep agriculture productive. But as people living near the farmland fall ill, a local employee whose work involves assisting in suicides begins to uncover a troubling link between that job, the drone technology, and the companies behind it.
