I Can Speak

An elderly woman is a familiar presence at the local office, where she files complaint after complaint about the problems and injustices she notices in her neighborhood. Her blunt manner frustrates the staff, but a junior civil service officer gradually forms an unlikely friendship with her. As he begins teaching her English, their lessons open a path to trust and to the painful past she has kept hidden.
