Alex has been blind since the age of two, but he is determined to run for his high school cross-country team. His father, a probation officer, looks for a way to help him compete and turns to an unlikely partner: a repeat juvenile offender used to running from the law. As the two boys train together, each faces a different challenge on the road ahead.
