In the Mouth of Madness

An insurance investigator is assigned to look into the strange disappearance of a popular horror novelist whose books have developed an intense following. His search leads him to a small town connected to the missing author, where he begins to suspect that the writer’s influence on his fans is not simply a matter of imagination, inspiration, or obsession.
