In December 1914, as World War I grips France, French and Scottish soldiers face German troops across the dangerous no man’s land of the Western Front. On Christmas Eve, an unofficial truce interrupts the fighting, creating a rare pause in the bloodshed and allowing men on opposing sides to see one another beyond the trenches.
