Little Joe

Alice is a single mother and senior plant breeder at a corporation creating new species. More devoted to her work as a genetic engineer than to her teenage son, Joe, she develops a new flower designed to make its owner happy through its special chemical properties. Breaking company policy, Alice brings one home as a gift for Joe and names it after him, but her pride in the creation soon gives way to unease.
