In Oslo in the early 1990s, a teenager sets out to launch Norwegian Black Metal and make his mark on a raw new musical movement. What begins as a driven pursuit of identity, sound, and notoriety grows darker as the quest intensifies, leading the push to establish the scene toward an increasingly violent outcome.
