Bridger is a young outsider who has always longed for a life beyond the pain and limits of his home. When he and his mother flee an abusive situation, they end up in a remote small town far from everything they have known. There, amid unfamiliar faces and a chance at a new start, Bridger begins to find the acceptance he has been missing through a connection with another misfit.
