Secrecy and lies drive this 1940s period drama about the birth of the nuclear age, and the fictitious stories of the men and women involved in the clandestine race to build the world’s first atomic bomb. The series focuses on the moral dilemmas faced by a ragtag team of scientists headed by brilliant nuclear physicist Frank Winter after they, along with their families, are relocated to the remote desert of Los Alamos, N.M., to work on the top-secret Manhattan Project.
