Maximum Overdrive

When a comet passes close to Earth, machines everywhere begin to come alive and turn violently against people. At a lonely truck stop, a group of strangers finds themselves trapped by a gang of murderous 18-wheelers that seem to have a mind of their own. Cut off and terrified, the survivors must find a way to fight back against the killer machines before they are crushed by them.
