Joe Buck, a naive and wide-eyed hustler from Texas, arrives in New York City hoping to make his fortune with wealthy women. Instead, the city proves harder than he expects. Along the way, he forms an unlikely bond with Enrico “Ratso” Rizzo, an ailing swindler with a bum leg who dreams of leaving his troubles behind for Florida.
