When Joy Pride, a free-spirited 70s burnout at the tail end of the flower power era, learns she has only weeks to live, her estranged millennial children return home to face a complicated family past. As they try to do right by a mother who often did them wrong, old resentments and generational divides rise to the surface in a story about grief, guilt, and making someone else’s death about ourselves.
