After separating from her husband, Roberta Guaspari faces an uncertain new stage in her life. With encouragement from her mother, she considers a path that could give her a fresh sense of purpose: taking a job as a music teacher at Central Park East School in East Harlem, where her personal change leads her toward a new role in the classroom.
