Nine Days

A reclusive bureaucrat conducts a series of interviews with five human souls, each hoping for the chance to be born and live a life on Earth. As he weighs which one will be given that opportunity, the process forces him into an existential challenge of his own, turning a seemingly orderly decision into a deeper confrontation with what it means to exist.
