Papillon

In the 1930s, a French convict begins serving his sentence in the harsh South American penal colony on Devil’s Island. Inside the dreadful prison, he forms a friendship with a fellow criminal, and their bond helps him endure the reality of confinement. As the weight of his sentence settles in, he becomes increasingly driven by one goal: finding a way to escape.
