Neal Page, an irritable Chicago marketing executive, is trying to get home from New York in time for Thanksgiving. But one travel delay after another throws his plans into chaos, leaving him stuck with Del Griffith, a well-meaning but overbearing shower curtain ring salesman. As Neal struggles to reach Chicago, Del becomes his unavoidable companion on a frustrating trip home.
