Put in charge of his young son, Alain leaves Belgium and heads to Antibes, where he moves in with his sister and her husband to form a new family arrangement. As he tries to adjust to this responsibility and a different life, he becomes close to Stephanie, a killer whale trainer. After Stephanie suffers a terrible accident, their connection grows deeper in unexpected ways.
