A hypochondriac becomes convinced that he is dying and starts making careful plans for what will happen to his wife after he is gone. Wanting to secure her future happiness, he sets an elaborate scheme in motion. But when she discovers what he has been doing, she misreads his intentions, and his well-meaning efforts create confusion and trouble instead.
