On a sprawling English country estate, aging writer Andrew Wyke invites Milo Tindle, a struggling actor, to discuss the woman at the center of both their lives: Wyke’s wife, who has fallen for Milo. Inside Wyke’s high-tech manor, the meeting between two outwardly civil gentlemen becomes a tense contest of pride, jealousy, and control, as each man tries to outthink the other.
