A British crime novelist leaves for her publisher’s elegant summer house in the South of France, hoping the quiet surroundings will give her the solitude she needs to work on her next book. Her retreat is disrupted when the publisher’s unusual daughter arrives unexpectedly, bringing tension, discomfort and increasingly complicated dynamics that disturb the writer’s carefully controlled world.
