The Aftermath

In the aftermath of World War II, a British colonel and his wife are sent to Hamburg as the city begins the difficult work of post-war reconstruction. Assigned to live in a grand house once owned by a German widower, they find that sharing the space with him brings old wounds and uneasy tensions to the surface.
