The Great Raid

Near the end of World War II, more than 500 American soldiers have spent three years trapped in a prison camp, losing hope that rescue will ever come. As the war continues, the elite Sixth Ranger Battalion is assigned a dangerous mission: move 30 miles behind enemy lines and attempt to liberate the prisoners before it is too late.
