The Lion in Winter

In 1183 A.D., King Henry II faces a bitter struggle over the future of the throne. His three sons each want to be named heir, but Henry refuses to commit to any one of them. When he releases his imprisoned and estranged wife, Eleanor of Aquitaine, for a Christmas visit, the family gathers in a tense battle of wills, with each side plotting to push Henry toward a decision.
