The Lives of Others
In 1984 East Berlin, dedicated Stasi officer Gerd Wiesler is assigned to monitor a famous playwright and his actress lover, Christa-Maria. As he listens in on their private lives, Wiesler becomes increasingly drawn into their world and unexpectedly sympathetic to the couple. His duty grows more complicated when his superior develops an interest in Christa-Maria, forcing Wiesler to confront divided loyalties.
