In a not-so-distant future, tech giant Pegazus offers couples a new way to become parents: detachable artificial wombs, or pods, that allow pregnancy to be shared more equally. Rachel is ready to try the technology, while Alvy, a botanist, has doubts about this new approach to birth. Out of love for her, he agrees to take a leap of faith as they navigate parenthood in a changing world.
