The Secret of Moonacre

After her father dies, 13-year-old Maria Merryweather is left orphaned and without a home. Forced to leave her luxurious life in London, she is sent to live with Sir Benjamin, an eccentric uncle she never knew, at the mysterious Moonacre Manor. There, Maria discovers she has inherited a book of secrets from her father and learns that a family curse hangs over the valley, one only she may be able to break.
