American tourist Frank is traveling by train to Venice when he is approached by Elise, a mysterious British woman with an unusual reason for seeking him out. Their meeting quickly takes on the shape of a possible romance, but Elise is not as straightforward as she first appears, and Frank is drawn into a situation where her charm may be hiding something more.
