They Call Us Monsters

Behind the walls of the Compound in Los Angeles, some of the city’s most violent juvenile offenders wait for trial while lawmakers debate legislation that can allow minors to be charged as adults. The film looks at the tension between advocates who see them as kids, a justice system that treats them as adults, and victims who see them as monsters.
