In the midst of World War II, the underwater battle gives the Nazis a dangerous advantage, as the Allies remain unable to break their coded messages. When a damaged German U-boat sends out an SOS, American submariners disguise themselves and board the vessel in a risky attempt to capture the Enigma cipher machine and turn the tide of the war at sea.
