Unbroken

During World War II, Olympic runner Louis Zamperini survives a near-fatal plane crash and is left adrift at sea with two fellow crewmen. For 47 harrowing days, they endure life on a raft before Zamperini is captured by Japanese forces and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp, where his ordeal continues in a chronicle of endurance and survival.
