Eccentric professor Oscar Collins lives in near-total seclusion inside his cluttered apartment, cut off from the world around him. When model Penny Lane moves in next door with her boyfriend, Collins becomes fixated on their chaotic life. He drills holes through the walls and ceiling to watch them, while his fascination pulls him deeper into private fantasies, daydreams, and delusions.
